We value animal welfare and we see this as our absolute highest priority. All horses travelling with us can depend on well supervised handling and frequent check-ups.

Our standards include;

- Professional and experienced drivers with a feeling for horses

- Adjusted and controlled driving style

- Unlimited hay access

- Waterstops every 4 hours

- Ventilated horse compartment

- Enough stops to rest for horses and drivers

Our experience when transporting horses is that horses travel well without any interference of human form such as blankets or leg protection. During long rides this can cause overheating and/or irritation.

If there is a reason (like excessive kicking or injury) we can adjust this measurement, upon request of the client.

Animal Welfare

- When transporting young horses and foals we ensure to arrive 1 hour before the discussed departure time to ensure calm, stress-free and respectful loading. We don't want to rush loading and create stress or transporting-trauma's for the horse.

We prefer the foals weened and trained in hand before the departure date.

- Horses must be chipped at all times during transport (or DNA profile). The driver must also at all times be in possession of the passport of the horse in question, which, in accordance with the chip, states the chip number (or DNA profile). Please always give this passport to the driver. We deliver it to the recipient on location.

- Hay and water is available for the horses during transport. If your horses have dietary restrictions or special food-requests, please inform us during the booking process. We feed the horses' upon arrival and departure of the overnight stops.

- Our truck is equipped with kicking pads and shavings as bedding throughout the trip.

- All horses from Europe traveling to the USA must undergo the following pre-export test. Piroplasmosis, Equine Infectious Anemia, Glanders (Kwade Droes) and Dourine. Mares older than 731 days must also undergo a CEM test
